Thumb rests02
Woodcraft flame maple thumb rests in several finishes

Four fitments, one screwdriver

A finger ramp cut from flame maple and drilled to the pickguard screws already in your bass. It gives your thumb somewhere to anchor between the pickups, so your hand can move for the tone you want instead of hunting for a cover that is the wrong height.

Made in North Hollywood for the Fender Jazz, Precision and Musicmaster, and for our own AmpMaster. Take three screws out, sit the rest under them, put them back.

How the thumb rest fits03

Three screws and a screwdriver

The finger ramp mounts on pickguard screws that are already in the instrument. Take three out, sit the rest under them, put them back. No routing, no drilling, nothing modified, and nothing a tech needs to do — a Phillips screwdriver and five minutes.

It moves where your thumb anchors, and your hand with it. Play closer to the neck for a rounder, fatter note or back toward the bridge for attack. More positions, more comfort over a long set, more tones out of the same bass.
